Composite Functions (Intro Concept)

Topic: Functions

  • Combining two functions:
    (f∘g)(x)=f(g(x))(f ∘ g)(x) = f(g(x))

Example:
If f(x)=x+2f(x) = x + 2 and g(x)=3xg(x) = 3x, then:

(f∘g)(x)=f(g(x))=f(3x)=3x+2(f ∘ g)(x) = f(g(x)) = f(3x) = 3x + 2
