  • Form: f(x)=mx+bf(x) = mx + b

    • m: slope (rate of change)

    • b: y-intercept (value when x=0x = 0)

 

Example:
If f(x)=2x+1f(x) = 2x + 1:
→ f(3)=2(3)+1=7f(3) = 2(3) + 1 = 7
